We founded Knotlog Software on that same principle: providing businesses with the speed, data, and structural integrity they need to navigate the modern web.
As USCG 50-Ton Captains and experienced shipwrights, we’ve learned that “good enough” doesn’t hold up in a gale. Whether we are repairing a fiberglass hull or refitting a business website, we believe in building things that are meant to last, perform under pressure, and get you to your destination as efficiently as possible..

Simon Liles
Simon graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s of Information Science with a concentration in Data Science. He has been learning to write in programming languages since he was 10 years old, starting with Java and C++. He has since learned R, Swift, Dart, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL.

Stuart Liles
Stuart graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He has been learning to write in programming languages since he was 10 years old, starting with Java and C++. He has since learned Python, MATLAB, and Dart.
Because we are twins and lifelong business partners, we don’t deal with the communication breakdowns found in large agencies. We operate like a single crew. When you hire us, you’re getting direct access to the engineers building your site—not a middleman or an account manager.
We Live Where We Work
Knotlog isn’t just a corporate name; it’s our lifestyle. We live aboard our boat, currently home-ported in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Being live-aboards keeps us deeply connected to the marine industry and the local businesses that keep it running.
From our floating office, we build real-world tools like QuarterMaster and Hurricane Watcher, ensuring that the software we produce is as rugged and reliable as the vessels we’ve captained.
